Client's Objective:

Interactive Filmmaking Inc. wanted to present a fictional story centered in the sexually exploitative world of hip-hop music videos as a non-linear and user-controlled narrative. The goal was to educate users on the social issues presented in the stories and allow end-user involvement in the narrative.

Solution:

  • Visual design to captivate the targeted demographic
  • A system with mulitple notification methods including HTML, email, and SMS
  • An interactive framework for the stories of three characters
  • Developed mechanisms for end-user participation in the developing narrative on multiple devices

Results:

The unqiue nature and design exceeded all expectations. The Website reached an internet savvy audience and fostered educational dialogue between community members. In addition, the interactive film was nominated for a Cannes Interactive Film Award and New York University commissioned a case-study of the project.
